The Dark Knight Rises

Art by: hobo95

Okay, so for the three of you who haven't seen the newest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, look no further than down below. But wait, there's MORE! Featured above and below are some amazing fan made posters (that I totally agree are better than the official ones by a longshot), so if you dig em give them a click and see some great artwork by hobo95, Gato Chico, & shokxone-studios.

But wait, THERE'S MORE!

Register with us and you get a free bagel kni....what? We're out! That's unacceptable! This doesn't happen to set it and forget it guy now does it! Unprofessional I say, UNPROFESSIONAL!!

While I don't have a bagel knife to offer you, I will offer my two cents. Personally, while I cannot wait to see the movie, I couldn't help but be a bit ho hum on the trailer. Don't get me wrong, its not "oh, this movie's in trouble!" stuff, not by any means, its just as a trailer it didn't really light my fire any, know what I mean? In any case, give it a look and tell us what you thought!

Music Vid of the Week: Howlin for you by: The Black Keys

In the "holy crap, how did I miss this!" category of music vids, this has to be towards the top. In an ode to Pulp/Spaghetti Western/Desperado type movies, The Black Keys have created one of the best and most fun Music Videos I've seen in a good minute. Starring Tricia Helfer, Sean Patrick Flannery, Todd Bridges (who steals the show), Corbin Burnson, Diora Baird, & Christian Serratos, its hard not to leave the video feeling like "man, they really should make this movie". In any case, peep the screens below and tell us what you think of the video!

Resident Evil: First Hour

Zombies!!! Grr...Arr.....pajamas....comi..ng..dow....n.....stairs.....

Yeah, just thank your maker I haven't been put in charge of the RE franchise. At this point, it would be Resident Banana: Distress in Pajamaville (come to think of it, that ideas GOLD! NO ONE STEAL IT, ITS MINE!)

Ahem, sorry, I've composed myself.

Anyway, if you're into non Banana Zombie stuff, then make sure to tune into Resident Evil: First Hour, a Fan Made prequel to Resident Evil 2. It stars Leon Kennedy, and takes place mostly on a farm on the outskirts of racoon city. It was directed by April Choi and Ross Peacock, and written by April Choi as well. The first two episodes are up, and the first one you can see right under this wonderfully written text (too much?). As a resident evil fan, I will say the first episode is a bit slow and (to me anyway) still finding its footing, but by episode 2, I was really starting to get into it, so peep episode 1 below and make sure to leave your comments on their youtube page. You can also find them on twitter, and those links are posted below. Enjoy the show!

Justice League Poster (by Daniel Morpheus)

If only it were real. Regardless, its quite well done, and all the props go to Daniel Morpheus who created it. The poster features Justin Hartley (Aquaman), Doug Jones (Martian Manhunter), Ryan Reynolds (GL) Bradley Cooper (Flash), Henry Cavill (Superman), Christian Bale (Batman), and Bridget Regan as Wonder Woman. If you head over to his deviant art page, you can see some other in progress images, as well as some closer looks at the process of the poster. He created this as an ode to Frank Quitely's gallery image (which you can see below for a side by side comparison). Who knows, maybe one day this will actually happen. I never thought I'd get a Captain America movie, nonetheless a good one, so anything's possible!

Peep this Cosplay: Dark Stars Photography (Mass Effect Series)

Chris Hutchison & Joanna bylo of:

Take a gander at these two spectacular Cosplays of Samara & Miranda from Mass Effect 2.

....no seriously, just look at them....

...(glances at watch)......(eats a banana)...

you good? I know, it takes a minute to spot all the little details Dark Stars Photography has put into these Cosplay shoots. The costumes themselves are stellar (especially the makeup and coloring on Samara) but the photo effects are quite impressive as well. From Samara's Biotic Barrier to Miranda's glowing Omni Tool, alot of time was taken to get the small things right. Both models are gorgeous, that goes without saying, but quality Cosplay (& photography for that matter) demand more than just a pretty face, and these are well done through & through. If you want to pick up an 11x17 print of these shots and lots more, head over to their site and check out the special ME section (link here). You can also catch more of their photography at their website, deviant art page, or like them on their Facebook page. Make sure to let them know what you think. So, if they were going to do another character from the ME universe, who should it be? My vote is Tali, but a Kasumi wouldn't be bad either. Let us know your choices in the comments or on the Facebook page!
